Nogales, AZ The $8.545 million project by Arizona Department of Transportation upgraded the busy Nogales Mariposa Port of Entry between the United States and Mexico, resulting in fewer delays for trucks delivering goods at this major international land port. With the upgraded border crossing, hours of delays for freight delivery were eliminated.ADOT introduced new state-of-the-art technology to reduce wait times and security delays such as pre-screening vehicles passing through the border, installing slow speed weigh in motion scales, and license plate recognition cameras. ADOT estimates average wait times have improved with the new upgrades, enhancing Arizona’s role in efficient international trade. |
