Caltrans— Lincoln East Park and Ride

In 2015, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) conducted a survey with residents of Orange County, the results of which expressed a need for more parking options. Having already completed the Lincoln West Park and Ride in the 1980s, the new $1.4 million Lincoln East Park and Ride was opened in 2019. This Park and Ride lot not only provides residents with the additional parking access, but has 12 bicycle lockers on site for bicyclists to connect to a car or van pool, and safely store their bikes. The lot is also equipped the electronic charging stations for electric vehicles. Caltrans is actively looking for opportunities to create more transportation options at the lot. The Park and Ride not only allows residents to connect to where they need to go, but enhances quality of life by cutting commute times and providing them with additional options.
