Montana Department of Transportation’s $2.3 million Tatro Street Transformation project improved safety conditions for motorists and pedestrians near an elementary school in Miles City. The narrow dirt road was barely wide enough to accommodate two-way traffic and pedestrians. Thanks to the wider lanes, improved sidewalks, and additional street lighting, parents and children can feel safe as they travel to and from school.
