New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Guiderail Replacement North, Contract 2019-01

This is the first guide rail replacement project completed under a new $3.8 million effort overseen by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The new initiative aims to prioritize and replace the oldest and most unsafe guide rails statewide via a new Guiderail Management Program. The process involves classifying existing guide rails into priority levels based on factors like type, age, density, road classification, average daily traffic count, and length. This helps establish high-priority locations for efficient project delivery and funding. Reducing the severity of these crashes enhances safety for all interstate users.
