Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s Oklahoma’s Mobility Management Program-Phase 2

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s Mobility Management Program improves access to nutrition, healthcare, employment, healthy living resources, and community engagement for all state residents by coordinating and connecting transportation providers statewide. The $423,600 program boasts a growing network of professionals dedicated to helping individuals overcome transportation challenges by building local and regional connections. Mobility managers work within their areas to identify gaps in service and close them through collaborative partnerships and inter-agency agreements. Oklahoma’s mobility management network – both regional and statewide – is designed to enhance individual mobility regardless of a person’s background, location, or preferred mode of travel. Since the launch of the pilot programs in 2022, nine mobility programs have been established – including three added in 2024 – each staffed by a mobility manager or mobility navigator. As the program continues to grow, access barriers are being reduced daily through partnerships with transit agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Efforts like Oklahoma Mobility Week, public outreach campaigns, and provider engagement events are helping more state residents connect to vital transportation options every day.
