This innovative contracting method allows for safety-enhancement projects to be quickly developed, designed, and built in a timeframe that is often one-tenth of the time required for the normal roadway project process. The impact of building safety projects more expeditiously is clear: lives are saved thanks to safer highways. Projects pushed out under this method can be completed in weeks or months instead of years. |
