Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Interstate 25 Bridge over Walsh Drive

With an aging structure dating back to 1969, the Wyoming Department of Transportation decided it was time to overhaul the Interstate 25 Bridge over Walsh Drive. The $29.48 million project not only enhances the visual appeal of this area but also significantly improves mobility for pedestrians and vehicles. A new signalized intersection helps reduce vehicle wait times, particularly during peak hours. Furthermore, the project extends and connects multimodal pathways; providing access from the existing pedestrian facilities in the Town of Evansville to the Rails-to-Trails system managed by the City of Casper. This initiative creates a safe route across a multilane roadway and fosters opportunities for business growth, including plans for a new hotel adjacent to the project and pathway system.
