U.S. Route 44 Sfaety Improvements

After two tractor trailer accidents and four fatalities, Governor Jodi Rell was forced to close U.S. Route 44 into Hartford to truck traffic. Working through winter conditions, the Connecticut DOT constructed a runaway truck ramp to transform this “treacherous” road into one trucks can now travel safely.
