Idaho Transportation Department’s $5.2 million American Falls Downtown Revitalization project improved pavement conditions for pedestrians and bicyclists through a downtown area suffering from disrepair in the form of limited street lighting, inadequate access for those traveling on foot or bike, and overall roadway condition issues. The project breathes new life for residents and visitors with eight reconstructed city blocks with new bike lanes, larger sidewalks, park strips, and extensive landscaping to make the area more attractive to users.
