Idaho Transportation Department’s $10.7 million Chubbuck Interchange project in southeast Idaho replaced an outdated interchange $2.1 million under budget, saving taxpayer dollars and improving safety conditions for motorists and pedestrians alike. The new diverging diamond interchange eliminates left turns and increases safety. The new interchange also accommodates oversized loads frequently shipped by local businesses, supporting the local economy. Pedestrians and cyclists have a new wide bicycle and pedestrian path with signal crossings to provide safe travel for all modes that utilize the interchange.
