Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s $98 million U.S. 60 Ledbetter Bridge Acceleration project restored an important economic link for the town of Ledbetter while wrapping up 11 months ahead of schedule. By shifting traffic two lanes at a time, construction on the new bridge could proceed with minimal impact to motorists. The new bridge allows heavier trucks to cross the river instead of having to utilize a 35-mile detour, accounting for greater efficiency and economic gains.
