Missouri Department of Transportation’s $11.4 million Interstate 35 Flintlock Flyover project relieved congestion and reduced traffic on nearby roads for all transportation modes. The flyover provided a two-lane road and a bicycle and pedestrian path for increased mobility and safer travel for those biking and walking across I-35. By working together with the local school district, MDOT’s project now provided a safe and efficient trip for the nearly 5,000 schoolchildren who travel by bus over the interstate.
