Oregon Department of Transportation’s $204 million I-5 Willamette River Bridge Project replaced an aging bridge that was past its prime. The project was completed two months ahead of schedule and only two years after groundbreaking. The bridge is a critical part of the I-5 corridor, a major north-south artery for the West Cost. The new span will last for nearly 50 years, allowing safe passage across the river for commuters, motorists, and freight trucks.
