Utah Department of Transportation’s $69 million extension of State Road 193 provides a significantly improved east-west route as well as a bridge over the busy Union Pacific Railroad and commuter railroad tracks, improving safety and decreasing wait times in the suburbs of Salt Lake City. In addition, the road improves conditions for commerce and freight mobility in a manufacturing center vital to the region, benefitting the entire state economically.
