California Department of Transportation’s $121 million Jameson Canyon Road Widening Project reduced congestion for motorists traveling on Highway 12 between Napa and Solano counties. With a wider roadway and less congestion, travel times were reduced for commuters, businesses, and tourists visiting the region’s wine country. Design and construction teams kept safety a number one priority when building three 2,000-foot-long retaining walls without posing a risk of falling boulders to motorists driving through the construction site.
