North Dakota Department of Transportation’s $20.5 million Alexander Bypass reduced congestion while improving pedestrian safety for the residents of Alexander by constructing a bypass highway around the town. The new highway provides an alternative for nearly 12,000 motorists and trucks that previously passed through the town center, which contributed to traffic congestion due to the low speed limit.
