Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s $10million ZeroBus Battery-Electric Transit Bus project relieved congestion and reduced emissions in downtown Louisville with new non-polluting buses to replace diesel trolleys known for being the heaviest polluters in the fleet. The replaced buses are 100 percent battery electric, and are able to operate in service infinitely without returning to a garage for recharging.
