The $9.57 million Sullivan’s Bridge Project (aka Old Betzwood Bicycle/Pedestrian Trail) by PennDOT improved the connections of the existing trail system in Valley Forge National Historical Park and the regional trail network in Montgomery County. Greater Philadelphia is the home of the “Circuit Trail Network,” a regional network of hundreds of miles of multi-use trails. Sullivan’s Bridge provides a critical river crossing link for bicyclists and pedestrians across the Schuylkill River. Adventurers from near and far can now enjoy a better connected recreational trail and contribute to the state’s economy.
