North Carolina Department of Transportation—Fayetteville Outer Loop

The long-awaited $200 million Fayetteville Outer Loop, completed December 2016, successfully addressed congestion and reliability issues by removing traffic from numerous parallel routes not able to handle the amount of traffic utilizing roadways from Ramsey Street to the All American Freeway. NCDOT’s Fayetteville Outer Loop now provides a direct interstate connection to nearby Fort Bragg Military Base while also cutting travel time as much as 30 percent for the eastern and northeastern parts of Cumberland County. In addition, safety has been greatly improved by eliminating the congestion and improving reliability for drivers.Outer Loop 2.jpg
