In an effort to reduce congestion, create a smoother commute, and improve access for the trucking community on State Loop 20, the Texas Department of Transportation knew that upgrades needed to be made. This $34 million project consisted of a new overpass, intersection, and turnaround lanes. Not only did these upgrades improve safety on a heavily traveled roadway in Laredo, it also helped to travelers to get where they needed to be much faster than before – helping people, goods, and services access local business quicker and improving the community.
