US Highway 67 has long served as the main connector for those traveling between Central Arkansas and the northeast portion of the state, carrying over 36,000 vehicles though the City of Cabot each day. Since the city was growing quickly and experiencing an increase in overall traffic, the Arkansas Department of Transportation knew it needed to address the traffic concerns. The solution was the construction of a new $25 million interchange on Highway 67 to provide needed access for those traveling into the city. Opened to the public in 2019, the new interchange now better accommodates traffic volume, reduces travel times and provides drivers with better access to new areas for redevelopment – allowing for future economic opportunities for this growing community.
