Washington, DC DDOT’s $45 million New York Avenue Bridge project rehabilitated a major road in Washington, D.C., without disrupting the MetroRail, MARC, and Amtrak lines below it, while also improving pedestrian accessibility. DDOT used a value engineering alternative consisting of deck replacement and superstructure and substructure rehabilitation of the existing west and east bound bridges to improve mobility for all transportation modes around the project. |
