Indiana Department of Transportation – I-69 Section 4

Indiana Department of Transportation’s $471 million project completed the fourth of six sections planned to build a 27-mile section of Interstate 69, a new four-lane highway from Evansville to Indianapolis. This project improved safety and mobility across 26 counties while increasing connectivity and regional access, and reduced travel times for 480,000 motorists to reach colleges, universities and urban areas. It built three interchanges, 39 bridges and 19 overpasses. Planners estimate the completed section will generate more than 8,000 jobs and $3.5 billion in additional personal income over the next 20 years, which will improve the state’s economic vitality.
