Missouri Department of Transportation’s $2 million intersection improvement project increased traffic flow and safety while it minimized the impact to property owners, businesses and local residents in Poplar Bluff. Through extensive community outreach and partnerships with trucking companies, MoDOT officials said they produced a roundabout design that suited community members’ needs as well as the travel demand from trucking hubs that need to move large cargo loads through that intersection.
