Ohio Department of Transportation – Akron Beltway Temporary Improvements

In order to reduce congestion on Akron’s Interstate 76 beltway, the Ohio Department of Transportation embarked on a $5 million effort to make temporary improvements along the shoulders that connect to I-76. Ohio DOT created a new configuration to move traffic more freely during the construction of other projects in the area. Ohio DOT plans to make those temporary measures permanent in the near future to help save travelers additional time and money.
