AR: Highway 245 Texarkana Interchange Project

A functionally obsolete bridge that failed to meet current design standards was a critical piece of the project to widen Highway 245 in Texarkana. Led by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, the project replaced a 42-year-old bridge overpass at I-30 and included widening the highway from two to five lanes. The contractor completed the project 53 working days ahead of schedule and significantly under budget.
