CO: Wildlife Detection System Project
Colorado DOT constructed this first-in-the-nation Wildlife Detection System on US 160 between Durango and Bayfield in Southwestern Colorado. The project is already reducing the rate of animal–vehicle collisions in an area where nearly 70 percent of all accidents were animal-vehicle related.
