FL: I-75 Tampa Interchange Project

As part of a multi-component plan to ease congestion in the area known as “New Tampa,” the Florida Department of Transportation replaced a two-lane, left-turn entrance onto southbound I-75 at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard with a right entrance flyover bridge, The project was fast-tracked and the project team used a number of innovative design and alternative contracting techniques to speed construction. As a result, the project was completed in 649 calendar days—128 days early.
