GA: I-85 West Point Interchange Project

To accommodate a new KIA Motors automotive assembly plant being constructed along I-85 in West Point, Georgia, the Georgia Department of Transportation undertook a project to build an interchange using a fast-tracked timeline and design-build applications. The design-build firm achieved overall project completion on December 10, 2008, ahead of the completion deadline of December 31, 2008, and the opening of the KIA plant.
