Originally scheduled to take two years to complete, MDOT’s $29 million rehabilitation of 32 lane miles of I-75 was completed in less than one year. The route, which sees not only intrastate travel but also serves as a primary artery for travel from Canada, needed substantial work after the 40-year old pavement was becoming more and more difficult to pay for and work with. Through partnership cooperation, collaboration, and communication, MDOT completed this project more than a year ahead of schedule and with little disruption to the traveling public. |
