PennDOT’s $4.25 million Route 119 Concrete Overlay Project was the state’s first major concrete overlay project in more than 20 years. Through this project, PennDOT rehabilitated 2.2 miles of a five-lane highway, originally constructed as a two lane highway in 1947 and 1955, and featured three types of concrete overlays. The project upgraded six intersections and was finished almost $150,000 under budget with minimal impact to the commercial, industrial, commuter and residential traffic. |
