West Warwick RIDOT’s $9 million Natick Bridge project connected two communities by replacing a 100 year-old deteriorated and substandard bridge while improving safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. The old bridge lacked shoulders or sidewalks. With average daily traffic exceeding 15,000 vehicles, the bridge is a critical link to residential areas and businesses in the community. The bridge was completed on time and $600,000 under budget. |
