Tennessee Department of Transportation—I-24 Improvements for Hankook Tire

Hankook Tire chose Clarksville, Tennessee, as the location for its first U.S. plant—a decision that brought 1,800 full-time jobs and an $800 million investment to the area, which signaled significant regional growth.  To support the economic development and increase safety for that growth, Tennessee DOT tackled several improvements at the I-24 and SR 237 interchange– widening SR 237 and SR 13 from two lanes to five, while also replacing two bridges over I-24. A new Park and Ride facility includes almost 250 spaces, a bus bay, and security features. The community of Clarksville and all of Tennessee are now benefiting from the major economic growth made possible through the $25.4 million in improvements.
