Texas Department of Transportation— Interchange Improvement of US 75 and President George Bush Turnpike

In order to address congestion on US Highway 75 and President George Bush Turnpike, one of the busiest intersections in North Texas, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) got to work on a $37 million improvement effort. These improvements included new entrance and exit ramps, reconstruction to the Plano Parkway Bridge that runs over U.S. 75, a new auxiliary turn lane, and more. In order to ensure safety for all, TxDOT closed the lanes to the public during the construction. In addition to the safety efforts, TxDOT also worked with several local partners to address concerns and keep the community updated on the progress. Now, travelers experience less congestion and faster travel times, allowing them to get where they need to be in a shorter amount of time.
