Looking to create more transportation options and to support the physical and mental health of residents and visitors alike, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began work on the $43 million Mountain View Corridor. This corridor features sidewalks, as well as a walking and biking trail. Designated areas that provide bicyclists with more visibility to traffic (known as bike boxes) and a pedestrian underpass also provide safety along the intersection and connect visitors to the trails. The corridor has three miles of road and serves as another way to access “Silicon Slopes” – one of the fastest growing economic hubs in the state. When fully complete, the corridor will be a total of 35 miles long with connections to biking and walking trails throughout the entire route. Everyone now has the opportunity to enjoy the corridor by bike and by foot – improving quality of life for all.
