Nebraska Department of Roads’ $63 million project increased capacity, safety, continuity and opportunities for economic development for residents in Omaha. Crews completed this 3.6-mile segment of the Statewide Expressway System $5 million under budget and opened it to traffic a year ahead of schedule, after constructing new bridges and upgrading an obsolete intersection to an interchange to provide easier access to the Omaha metro area. The timely constructed project is saving southeast Nebraska residents time and money by reducing traffic delays and commute times after its completion.
