Nebraska Department of Roads’ $13 million project increased access, safety and mobility around the City of Wahoo by providing convenient access to several popular community destinations and making it easier to walk and commute between Lincoln, Omaha, and Fremont. The new 25 mile expressway on US-77 from I-80 in Lincoln to the junction with N-109, handles 8,000 vehicles daily and has improved commerce by allowing better movement of freight away from the city. This has increased economic vitality and provided visitors easier access to recreational activities in the 640-acre Lake Wanahoo area.
