Nevada Department of Transportation’s $13.6 million project improved access and travel safety by reconnecting residents and communities via a new roadway featuring wider sidewalks, bike paths and interpretive aesthetic panels that depict the story of historic Westside Las Vegas. A collaborative community outreach effort allowed officials to provide more travel options to downtown Las Vegas, and people living in this previously separated neighborhood can now walk, drive or bike directly to work or play. Mobility and economic vitality have once again been restored through this historic one-of-a-kind transportation project.
