New Hampshire Department of Transportation – Rebuilding I-93 in Southern New Hampshire

New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s $150 million project used storm-water management methods to protect water quality of a lake near Exit 3 on I-93 in Windham. Innovative designs increased erosion and sediment controls by calculating runoff volumes and storage capacities, creating clean water diversions around construction areas. These cleaner practices increased awareness and support for the project, which is creating opportunities to benefit the local and regional economies in the state.
