California Department of Transportation’s $66 million project in Baldwin Park constructed a fly-over connector from southbound I-605 to eastbound I-10. The connector reduced delays, increased safety, improved freight movement and enhanced mobility along this inter-regional highway in San Gabriel Valley and Southern California. Innovative tactics allowed crews to build and design the project simultaneously to shorten its construction schedule, increase efficiencies, save money and reduce impacts to the public. Through partnerships with communities and elected officials, crews added aesthetic enhancements that mirror the surrounding environment and completed the project in a timely manner.
