Tennessee Department of Transportation’s $62 million project replaced eight bridges on I-40 in downtown Nashville seven months ahead of schedule. The project was the first CMGC project for the DOT in which the contractor was involved early in the design process, allowing crews to complete it in four months and 10 weekends. Community support grew quickly through creative branding and extensive outreach to inform travelers about detours, impacts and benefits from the project. The new bridges ensure that transportation infrastructure remains safe and reliable to sustain continuous flow of travel, freight and commerce for decades to come.
I vote for tdot
great job
Great job
Excellent use of time and resources
I know of a norther state that could take lessons from this road builder.
Way to get the job done with little impact on travelers and fantastic use of weekends and nights.
